Help us Cure the #1 Cause of Disability
Did you know that over 46 million Americans have been diagnosed with Arthritis? That means that 1 in 5 Americans will develop some form of arthritis in their lifetime, including thousands of children. Arthritis is growing and has become the Leading cause of disability in the United States!
While osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, there are over 100 other forms of arthritis such as Rheumatoid, Psoriatic and Juvenile arthritis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren's, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Raynaud's, Gout, Lyme disease and Fibromyalgia just to name a few.
Recently our walk team lost a member, friend, and colleague, Kathleen Basile, due to complications from one of the more difficult arthritic diseases called Scleroderma. Kathleen had a huge heart. She loved life and was loved by all who knew her.
This year, our team, many of whom know first hand the challenges of arthritis, including myself, will walk in honor of Kathleen. We want to raise awareness and funds to help prevent, control and cure arthritis.
Your generosity will ensure that the Arthritis Foundation continues leading the way toward the prevention, control, and cure of the number one cause of disability. Together, we can make a difference!
